WWE Greatest Royal Rumble Event Will Have Break to Honor Local Customs
– According to Adam Silverstein with CBS Sports, there will be a break during tomorrow’s Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for prayer in following with local customs. You can check out his tweet on the news below.
Silverstein reported that the break will last 15 minutes and not an hour as others have apparently reported. Also, it will not apparently impact the home viewing audience for the highly-anticipated international WWE event.
The Greatest Royal Rumble is set for Friday, April 27 at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The event will be streamed live on the WWE Network. 411 will be providing live results and coverage of the card.
WWE confirms to @CBSSports there will indeed be a short prayer break during #WWEGRR on Friday, out of respect for local customs. It will not impact the home viewing audience.
Separately, I'm hearing the break will last approx. 15 minutes — not an hour as reported elsewhere.
