Hulk Hogan Says AJ Styles is Going Through “Titan Training” in WWE
– Eric Bischoff aired the third part of his interview with Hulk Hogan in the latest episode of Bischoff On Wrestling. In the interview, Hogan talks about guys like AJ Styles and Bobby Roode making the transition to WWE, which he calls “Titan Training.”
When asked by Bischoff if he agrees that WWE is good at putting “that final polish” on a character, Hogan said, “I do. We call it ‘Titan Training.’ The weirdest thing is it’s like when my daughter used to sing and when she was doing shows all the time. She sang in front of 300 people. There was a labor of love there. All of a sudden when she got in front of 3,000 people, or in Daytona in front of 100,000 people at the raceway, it gets easier the more people you get to perform in front of. Such as guys that come from the independent scene and wind up in WWE. Of course, it’s more taxing with how much you have to wrestle and how much you have to be on as far as TV appearances and other stuff they have you doing outside the wrestling ring. At the end of the day with that big machine up there, the production and the buildings sold out it actually gets easier. While AJ is getting his ‘Titan Training’ right now he’s really going to be able to relax. When you’re on TV and you’re in the main event of the PPV there’s a certain amount of, ‘I have to have my act together.’ There’s a certain amount of tension. That also comes with also being able to relax a lot more. You perform better when everything is already done for you. The lighting, the entrance, the building is already sold out… you already know it’s going to be there when you get to the ring. You don’t have to dig for ten minutes to get things right because when the bell rings it’s already there.”
