Hulk Hogan Says He Got A Voice Message From Roddy Piper Two Days After His Death
During an appearance on The 700 Club (via Fightful), Hulk Hogan remembered getting a voice message from Roddy Piper two days after his death back in 2015. This is similar to a story he told on A&E’s Biography episode about Piper, which included clips of the message.
Hogan said: “Can I tell you a crazy wrestling story? A buddy of mine Roddy Piper passed away. He was really trying hard to surrender and get his life straight. We would text every single day. In the wrestling business for 25 years we couldn’t stand each other, we were at each other’s throats. I know it is predetermined and all that but he did not like me and I did not like him. That’s just how it was. Well, once we got older and we basically had some conversations, we started talking. He started asking about my spirituality. He didn’t connect but he was very curious. He wouldn’t surrender. All of a sudden, he passes away. It was an A&E special about Roddy Piper. The very thing, when they get ready to go to credits, it wasn’t a text message, but it was a text message that was voice message on the text. But this message came in two days after he died and the text message goes ‘I’m just loving you, my brother. I’m just walkin’ with Jesus. Walkin’ with Jesus and loving you, my brother.’ He would have never said that when he was here. It is amazing how things work.”
