As previously reported, IWA Mid-South returned with live events this week. One event was held last night (June 19) in Indianapolis, Indiana. However, the show has received criticism for not following proper COVID-19 guidelines. Last night, IWA-Mid South tweeted out a photo from the live event, showing fans in the audience clearly not following proper social distancing protocol for the pandemic. Fans were clearly sitting within six feet of each other.

The event was called Unfinished Business. It was held last night at Southside Turners in German Park. Mance Warner, Jake Crist, and Michael Elgin were all advertised for the card.

Additionally, it didn’t appear that anyone in the audience or venue was wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the COVID-19 pandemic. You can see the photo from the event that IWA Mid-South posted, but was later deleted, below.

Later on, other promoters and wrestlers commented on IWA Mid-South’s handling of the event and criticized them for their lack of adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols on Twitter, including AEW’s Joey Janela. You can view those below as well.

Wrestler Aaron Solow, who is engaged to WWE Superstar Bayley, commented, “Saw the photo just before it got deleted. No distancing No masks Full capacity F’n unreal@IWAMidSouth.” Meanwhile, Joey Janela wrote on the event, “CZW: Covid Zone Wrestling.”
