Jeff Jarrett Says Hall of Fame Induction is ‘Surreal’ To Him

February 19, 2018 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Jeff Jarrett spoke with TMZ Sports about being announced as part of the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class, saying the whole thing is “still surreal” for him. You can see video of Jarrett speaking with the outlet about the announcement below.

“It’s still surreal,” Jarrett said. “You know, back in January when they asked me, they said, ‘We’d like you to go in.’ And there’s a long pause, and I’m like, ‘Are you waiting on a yes, or a maybe or something like that? Of course!’…Out of all the guys who laced up their boots, there’s less than 200 of us in the Hall of Fame. So I’m very grateful, I’m very very humbled, and as I said before in my first interview, this is for my family. My family goes back three generations, so uh…I’m the lucky one who got picked by my family to be in the Hall of Fame.”

Jarrett notes the ups and downs that he’s been through in his life since leaving WWE and said, “I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. That night in Panama City [when WCW was sold], who woulda thought this many years later…that I’m standing here Monday, February 19th and the announcement is made [of the Hall of Fame induction].”

Jarrett noted that he’s thankful to WWE management and the McMahons, saying, “There’s no denying the fact I have given my professional and, at times, my personal life to this business. So, I wanna thank them and have already thanked them for giving me this opportunity.”
