– Jim Cornette released the latest episode of his podcast, The Jim Cornette Experience, which you can listen to below. Cornette discussed his return to commentary for MLW and more. During the podcast Cornette denied reports that he’s signed full-time with MLW as an announcer and agent. Below are some highlights.

Jim Cornette on reports that he’s working for MLW full-time as an announcer and agent: “First of all, I’m not full-time anything except ****ing cranky these days. It’s not like an announcer for MLW or any other promotion would be full time except WWE maybe to begin with. Actually, they made it sound like I was going to go to an office 9-5 Monday through Friday and clock in. I am not opposed to further dates with MLW after New York that I’ve committed to. But I’m dropping everything else I’m doing and taking a full-time job. I’ve mentioned I’m allergic to the word “full-time” these days. Also, I’ve worked full-time, but at 18 different things. There’s no contract, and I’m not saying I don’t want to sign a contract with MLW. I don’t want to sign a contract with anybody because it might preclude me from doing something that I’d like to do in the future. But everybody else also knows who deals with me, if I make a deal for a date or series of dates for a particular purpose, then I will fulfill that commitment. You don’t need to have it on paper.”

Jim Cornette on doing help with promo coaching: “As far as agenting, I was coaching promos is what I was primarily asked to do and did — you know we did the TV shoot on Saturday and guys got together for promos at the hotel on Sunday, and I was involved in that. Specifically working with some of the guys who had not done television before or had barely done it or are trying to present themselves in a a new way and trying to figure out things that they might think of or exercises they might do to try and figure out who they are and how to tell people on television. But anyway, promo coach. So, there’s no official agent role. I’m not involved in creative. I’m there to announce and to help the guys with their presentation on camera.”
