Jim Ross Says Braun Strowman Is The Future Face of WWE, Shares Bruno Sammartino Story

– Jim Ross spoke about Braun Strowman being the future face of WWE and more on the latest episode of The Ross Report. A couple of highlights are below, per WZ:

On Braun Strowman: “For anybody that is naïve enough – caught up in all this talk about Lesnar and Reigns and Saudi and who’s gonna win and who’s gonna hurt this guy – and everybody’s got everything figured out to the nth degree – never sleep on the fact that Braun Strowman, in my opinion, is the future face of the WWE.”

On expressing his condolences to Bruno Sammartino’s son: “I sent his son Darryl Sammartino a text. I said ‘Darryl it’s Jim Ross, I want to send my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your father. He was simply the best. Period. My late wife Jan and I loved being around him and this is what got me. The response from Darryl Sammartino: ‘Thank you very much Jim. I appreciate that. My Dad thought the world of you.’ I can’t tell you what those words mean to me. I’m getting a little emotional right now, no kidding. My Dad thought the world of you. God bless him. I will never erase that text. I love that text. I meant the world to Bruno. My God, what a testimonial because he meant the world to me. God bless you Bruno. Thank you for being my friend and thank you for everything you did for the wrestling business and that includes all the fans listening and all the talent making a living. R.I.P Bruno.”
