John Cena Sued By Ford For Selling $500,000 Ford GT
– John Cena has been sued by Ford for selling a $500,000 2017 Ford GT. Ford says Cena violated a contract by selling it according to the lawsuit, which TMZ reports was filed in US District Court in Michigan.
According to the suit, Cena was “selected from thousands of applicants for the opportunity to purchase the Ford GT.” Ford claims that a condition for receiving the car was signing a contract in which he agreed to hold onto the car for two years. However, the suit claims that Cena flipped the car for a profit soon after.
The filing states, “Mr. Cena has unfairly made a large profit from the unauthorized resale flip of the vehicle, and Ford has suffered additional damages and losses, including, but not limited to, loss of brand value, ambassador activity, and customer goodwill due to the improper sale.”
Ford claims that Cena told the company that he sold the car along with other property in order to pay bills. They are demanding that Cena hand over the profit for the sale, plus damages.
