Josh Barnett Discusses Facing Tom Pestock At The People vs. GCW

At The People vs. GCW, Tom Pestock, formerly known as Baron Corbin, competed in his first post-WWE match by putting over Josh Barnette ina Bloodsport match.

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show (per Fightful), Barnett spoke about the bout.

“We put together this Bloodsport match for the Hammerstein show, being that Bloodsport is a big premier event under the GCW banner, and this is kind of like a GCW WrestleMania of sorts, at least that’s the way I see it. We needed something big, so six-foot-six, six-foot-seven, 280 pounds, that’s pretty big, and it was quite the battle. He is definitely someone who has combat skills. I could tell that the boxing experience is there, jiu-jitsu purple belt, he just won a tournament. So he came prepared,” Barnett said.
