Kenny Omega vs. Joey Janela No DQ Match Official for Next Week’s AEW Dynamite

– As previously reported, AEW World champion Kenny Omega issued a challenge to Joey Janela to face him. Omega was upset because of criticism of not having to face Janela in the tournament when Janela had to withdraw due to exposure with someone who may have had COVID-19. AEW has now made that matchup official. On next week’s Dynamite, it will be Omega vs. Janela.
Per AEW, this is a No DQ World Title Eliminator Match, with the rules that “Anything Goes.” If Janela manages to beat Omega, he will receive a world title shot. You can see that announcement and the updated lineup for next week’s Dynamite:
* Cody Rhodes with Arn Anderson vs. Angelico with Jack Evans
* Hangman Page, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds vs. Matt Hardy and Private Party
* The Acclaimed vs. SCU
* Serena Deeb and Big Swole vs. Ivelisse and Diamante
* Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, MJF, Sammy Guevara, Santana, Ortiz, Jake Hager, and Wardlow) vs. Top Flight, Brandon Cutler, Varsity Blondes, and Best Friends
* AEW World Title Eliminator Match – No DQ / Anything Goes Match: Kenny Omega w/ Don Callis vs. Joey Janela w/ Sonny Kiss
