Update on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn’s WWE Status After Getting Sent Home
– As previously reported, WWE Superstars Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were sent home from WWE’s European tour earlier this month for leaving the ring after Owens’ post-match attack against Kofi Kingston and refusing to “feed” for The New Day. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via Sportskeeda) has some more details on their current WWE status after the incident.
Going by the Observer Newsletter, heat on Owens apparently seems to have gone down, and WWE is currently not taking issue with him at the moment. However, the same Newsletter update also notes that there is still heat on Zayn from WWE officials after he was sent home. The report doesn’t mention how this could affect their spots on the Smackdown roster. The two are still currently a duo and did take part in the Survivor Series Kickoff show, beating Tyler Breeze and Fandango.
