Kota Ibushi NJPW G1 Climax 30

The NJPW G1 Climax 30 finals are complete, with Kota Ibushi becoming a back-to-back winner of the yearly tournament. Ibushi defeated SANADA on the show, which took place on Sunday morning and aired on NJPW World. Ibushi defeated SANADA in 35 minutes and 12, pinning him after two Kamigoyes.

The win gives Ibushi his second G1 Climax win; he defeated Jay White in August of 2019 in the G1 Climax 29 finals. Ibushi now has a title shot at Wrestle Kingdom 15, assuming he can defend his title opportunity over the rest of the year. Wrestle Kingdom 15 will take place on January 4th and 5th, 2021.
