On a recent edition of The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle discussed his match with Eddie Guerrero at WrestleMania XX, Guerrero coming up with the finish of the match, and much more. You can read his comments below.

Kurt Angle on his match with Eddie Guerrero at WrestleMania XX: “Yeah, we had a lot of fun too. Eddie Guerrero, what he was able to do in that match and how he pulled the fans in and just had them cheering for him and going crazy for him – Eddie was really good at that. He was great at sucking fans in and getting them emotionally involved, whether he was a heel or a babyface. He was just incredible.”

On Guerrero coming up with the finish of the match: “Eddie [came up with the finish]. Two weeks before WrestleMania, we were somewhere touring and he pulled me aside at the hotel. He said, ‘Listen, I came up with an awesome finish. You’re gonna love it.’ Eddie told me what he wanted to do. Me having the Ankle Lock and he ends up coming out of his boot and rolls me up to pin me. I thought, ‘Wow, this is genus.’ I said, ‘This plays right into your character of lie, cheat, and steal, and it protects me at the same time. This is awesome. This is one of the best finishes, and people are gonna remember this finish from WrestleMania forever.'”

On his favorite memory from WrestleMania XX: “We’ve talked about it before. Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit standing in the middle of the ring at WrestleMania XX. Both world champions. Undersize, didn’t have a chance in the business of being world champions because it was a big man’s business. These guys surpassed that. They made it to the top of the totem pole and actually made their dreams come true. It actually motivated a lot of other undersized wrestlers to get in the business.”
