The Latest Updates on the Futures of Pentagon & Fenix
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while there has been a lot of talk regarding Pentagon & Fenix going to WWE, that isn’t happening at this time. Both have started making commitments to promoters for next year, which indicates they aren’t planning on signing with WWE, who had a lot of interest in them. When the brothers are free and clear from their current Lucha Underground contracts, they could go anywhere.
MLW has heavily played into the story, teasing the bothers leaving the promotion through the angle with Konnan & Salina de la Renta. There was an angle where Salins said that she was with “Hunter” all week and offered to get them a deal to go to WWE, where she would enroll them in English classes, probably have them re-branded with new names, and that they would learn a safer arsenal of moves. Konnan begged them to stay with him, leading to Pentagon & Fenix ripping up Salina’s contracts.
