Maki Itoh Wants To ‘Remain Silly’ And Be Herself When She Returns to AEW

Maki Itoh doesn’t want to be forced into a babyface or heel dynamic when she makes her return to AEW. Itoh, who has had small runs in AEW, recently spoke with Fightful and during the interview she talked about her desire to continue being herself when she returns to the company.

“When I go back to AEW, I want to continue to be myself and not be restricted as to what a babyface or heel is,” Itoh said. “I want to remain silly, keep everyone moved by the way I wrestle, but get them to laugh by the way I wrestle. Laughing with me.”

Itoh’s last match for AEW was a team up with Emi Sakura against Marina Shafir & Nyla Rose on the November 28th, 2022 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation.
