Malakai Black Recalls Helping Shawn Michaels Put Together Return Match At WWE Crown Jewel
Malakai Black is officially All Elite after making his AEW debut on last week’s Road Rager episode of Dynamite. However, in a recent Twitch stream, the former Aleister Black reflected on a memorable moment from his tenure with WWE.
Black noted that he worked with Shawn Michaels to put together his WWE return match in 2018 at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia, where Michaels teamed with Triple H to take on The Undertaker and Kane (via Fightful):
“Sitting down and helping Shawn Michaels put together parts of his match in Saudi Arabia and watching it on TV and they are using parts of things that I opted to do. Those are things where you feel like you’re on par with them.”
Michaels said in an interview earlier this year that he regrets coming out of retirement for the match.
