Matt Cardona Responds to Cody Rhodes’ TNT Open Challenge Offer

– During last night’s AEW Dynamite, new TNT champion Cody Rhodes announced an open challenge every week for his TNT title. he also promised that he will defend his title in an open challenge every week. After he delivered his challenge, former WWE Superstar Matt Cardona, aka Zack Ryder, took to Twitter and responded to it, possibly teasing that he might want to take Cody Rhodes up on the offer.

Initially, Cody Rhodes reinforced the challenge on his Twitter account, writing, “Open. To. All.” Cardona later responded, “Open challenge………” You can see that exchange below.

Matt Cardona was released from WWE last month. After his release, Cody posted a heartfelt message on his Instagram in praise of Cardona and their friendship. Whether if this means Ryder could use the TNT Open Challenge as a way to enter AEW remains to be seen.
