WWE News: Mercedes Martinez Says Ember Moon Can’t Win NXT Women’s Title, Today’s Wrestling Birthdays Include CM Punk, Wrestlers In Attendance For Ric Flair Screening

– WWE has released a video with Mercedes Martinez discussing the NXT Women’s Title match at NXT Takeover: Wargames between Ember Moon, Peyton Royce, Kairi Sane and Nikki Cross. Cross won her shot in a battle royal during last night’s episode of NXT. Martinez said she was disappointed she didn’t win, and when asked who would win the Fatal 4-way, she said it wouldn’t be Ember Moon because she can’t win the big matches.

– CM Punk turns 39 years old today, while Kevin Sullivan is 68, Kurrgan is 48, Rochelle Loewen is 38 and Taka Minchinoku is 44. Today would have been the 53rd birthday of Nicole Bass, who died from a stroke in February.

– Triple H, Charlotte Flair, Mark Henry, Curt Hawkins, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, Noelle Foley, Tyson Kidd, Dana Warrior and Peter Rosenberg were at the special screening for ESPN’s 30 for 30 special on Ric Flair in Atlanta last night. The screening was held at Heart Tower. The special airs on ESPN on November 10 at 10 PM ET.
