Mike & Maria Kanellis Reportedly Asked For Their WWE Release

– Mike and Maria Kanellis recently asked for their releases from WWE, according to a new report. Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that the couple have been unhappy with how WWE has used them for a while, and asked for their releases a few weeks ago. The outlet also makes note of the fact that Kanellis is once again selling shirts on Pro Wrestling Tees.

The couple signed with WWE in June of 2017 and Kanellis had a brief feud with Sami Zayn. Since then though, the couple have been been on TV with any regularity. Maria Kanellis took time away because she was pregnant with the couple’s first child, and Mike Kanellis was off TV soon after his debut for several months to battle an addiction to painkillers. Maria was training for a return following her giving birth, but was waylaid in August due to an injury and wasn’t cleared until September.
