MLW News: Update On When MLW Will Resume Live Shows, Jacob Fatu’s Sister Passes Away, MLW Underground Preemptions, BeIN Note
PWInsider reports the following news items:
– MLW is reconsidering their stance of not running shows during the COVID-19 pandemic after seeing how UFC, the NBA, and boxing on DAZN have handled the situation. They are apparently going to see how those organizations continue to handle things, if they don’t see a big flare-up of cases like the MLB and WWE have had, they may go ahead and return to live shows. As of now, the next scheduled MLW show isn’t until December at at the 2300 Arena.
MLW headquarters is located in New Rochelle, NY, which was one of the first areas hit with a COVID-19 outbreak in New York.
– Jacob Fatu’s sister recently passed away. We’d like to send our condolences to the Fatu family.
– More preemptions are likely for MLW’s Underground TV on BeIN Sport. This weekend’s broadcast was preempted. Another timeslot for the show is expected to be announced soon.
– John Duff, one of MLW’s biggest advocates at BeIN, left BeIN last month and moved to MAVTV.
