MLW Reportedly Receives New Streaming TV Bid, Update on Second TV Series
– PWInsider reports that Major League Wrestling (MLW) has received a bid for a new streaming TV deal. No additional details are available yet, but negotiations are said to be currently ongoing.
The report noted that NBCUniversal’s acquisition of the WWE Network for Peacock has increase interest in professional wrestling content.
With regards to Major League Wrestling potentially launching a second TV series besides MLW Fusion, PWInsider also reports that MLW Underground and Rebellion are being discussed as names for the new show. There’s also apparently been talk of using the name Azteca Underground, in light of the recent angle involving the shadowy group that recently purchased Salina de la Renta’s Promociones Dorado and appears to have a connection to the now-defunct Lucha Underground.
