NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 15

NJPW will hold next year’s Wrestle Kingdom 15 as a two night event for the second year in a row. The company announced during the G1 30 Climax finals on Sunday morning that Wrestle Kingdom will take place on January 4th and 5th, 2021. This marks the second year that the company has held the show over two nights following last year’s show, which was done as two nights in order to capitalize on the fact that the 2020 Olympics was to take place in Japan before COVID-19 caused it to be postponed.

The official announcement from New Japan Pro Wrestling reads:

This January, NJPW made history with the first ever back to back wrestling events in the Tokyo Dome. With the Double Gold Dash, Jyushin Thunder Liger’s retirement match and much more besides, Wrestle Kingdom 14 was a phenomenal success that had the world watching.

During the G1 Climax finals on October 18, Wrestle Kingdom 15 was officially announced, as NJPW returns once more for two nights in Japan’s legendary stadium. After the legendary weekend that was January 4 & 5 2020, how will New Japan Pro-Wrestling march into 2021?
