It was previously reported that the angle that Goldberg and Dolph Ziggler recently shot at a Andiamo Italian Steakhouse in Las Vegas was going to lead to Goldberg’s return to WWE TV to continue a program between the two. Goldberg shot and posted an altercation to his social media that showed the two being separated from a possible fight. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there are no plans for Goldberg to continue feuding with Ziggler, as the belief in WWE is that the match has been done and there’s no point in doing it again. There are said to be no plans to capitalize on the angle for TV.

Paul Heyman has envisioned Goldberg’s role in WWE as an occasional character who comes in and destroys people, like Bruno Sammartino used to be. It’s believed that when Goldberg is too old for that role, Brock Lesnar may move into the position.
