As has been reported, Killer Kross and Impact Wrestling are at odds with each other and have been for months regarding his contract with the company. Kross wants out, as he believes he can make more money elsewhere. He’s currently making $40,000 per month on a pay per appearance deal, with only a few dates per month. Impact will not give him his release.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that a source has described what the belief is backstage in regards to how Impact management feels about the entire Kross situation. Management allegedly believes that they signed Kross when he was relatively unknown, and after pushing and protecting him, made him come across like a star.

They did let Scarlett Bordeaux out of her contract, but she never went public about her issues with the company. Kross did, and the thought is that if they give him his release after he went public, it would send a message to others that if they bury the company they will get released if they’re not happy and don’t want to work the rest of their deal. They believe Kross should finish out his contract and offered him more money to do it.

As for not using him, the belief is that if they put him on TV and push him, they’d be wasting their time because not only is he leaving, but they would be rewarding him for being unprofessional. If they use him to get others over, he becomes sympathetic and it makes them look bad. They believe they’re in a no-win situation when they’re the ones that gave him his break. They want to work out the deal, as they believe it’s the professional thing to do.
