Note On Why Karrion Kross vs. Santos Escobar Was Postponed To Next Week’s NXT

During last night’s episode of WWE NXT, Santos Escobar said that he was going home instead of facing Karrion Kross, because he didn’t appreciate being threatened. So instead, William Regal pushed the match to next week and said if Escobar didn’t show up, he would be stripped of the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that the angle was done out of ‘medical necessity’, and not a planned storyline, as there was a medical reason for the match being postponed. It was also said to be ‘surprising’ that it was announced for next week. There were no other details given.
