Note on Why Ring Entrances Have Been Cut Back On WWE NXT

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that one of the reasons that ring entrances were cut back for time on WWE NXT was because Shawn Michaels believed that long ring entrances gave viewers more time to check out AEW when they were on Wednesdays. While they are no longer competing with AEW, it still helps them have more time for the matches and angles.

The story going around in the company is that Michaels’ wife Rebecca was watching NXT and told him she thought the ring entrances were too long and gave people too much time to change the channel. Michaels then took the idea to Triple H.
