NXT WarGames Return Not Yet Announced, Despite Earlier Report

– Despite a report yesterday to the contrary, WWE has not yet announced the return of WarGames this year. A report came from AXS which said that WarGames would be making a return for NXT Takeover in November, which many sites had reported as an announcement. However, as Wrestling Observer notes, the original article has been removed and according to WWE sources, the story was an error.

The first NXT WarGames took place in November as part of NXT Takeover: Houston. The match saw Undisputed Era defeat the Authors of Pain/Roderick Strong and SAnitY. The November Takeover will take place in Los Angeles before Survivor Series.
