Paul London enjoys working with Paul Walter Hauser in MLW, as he noted in a recent interview. The two teamed up at MLW Reloaded in January, and London spoke with Fightful Overbooked for a new interview in which he talked about enjoying what Hauser is doing.

“It’s been fun,” London said. “I became a fan of his after I saw Richard Jewell because I’m a huge Sam Rockwell fan. I was like, ‘This lead is really good, who is this guy?’ I just kept following his career. I was a fan of his, and we had a mutual friend who is an old roommate of mine, who I also trained, and he put us in touch. Paul knew who I was, which is always kind of flattering and we started training early last year. He just had all this knowledge already. I didn’t have to break it down like I do week one students that I have at my academy. He had all this referencing points of wrestlers that I could list off and he knew who I was talking about, which is rare with a lot of wrestlers today. Young wrestlers, you try to tell them about territory wrestling and they don’t know what you’re talking about or, ‘Ah, boring.’ He’s like the friend I always wanted in high school when everyone was making fun of me for loving wrestling.”

London continued, “He’s become one of my best friends, one of my dearest friends. People are like, ‘What are you doing in wrestling? Why are you doing this? You’re an actor. You’re risking your career and having a laugh at us. We take this seriously.’ I know that was Brock Anderson’s big gripe. It’s no different than Kevin Bacon and the Bacon Brothers in a band. He’s not acting every single day. If the guy wants to take some matches and see where he’s at and what he’s made of, why not? Let him live. I love what’s he’s doing. I thought he was one of the best parts of the Texas Tornado match, especially the big rolling cannonball off the apron. He gets better every time I see him. My biggest thing with him is don’t take any bookings if your instincts are telling you to not do it. I say that, and he ends up in deathmatches.”

Hauser has competed for a number of promotions over the past year.
