Renee Young Discusses If She’s Ready To Have Kids, Lists Her Favorite Current Wrestlers

On the latest episode of her Regular Girls Podcast, Renee Young talked about how she would like to have children sooner rather than later and listed her favorite current wrestlers. Highlights are below.

On if she wants to have kids: “Um, yeah, yeah, at some point I would like to have children. I feel like, um, I’m 33, so tick tock, right? Shit or get off the pot. Which is not true, I mean lots of women have babies much later than that, so I guess I do still have time, which is lovely to think of. ‘cuz sometimes I feel, and Stacy and I have talked about this before on the podcast, but it’s like this immense pressure that women feel, I mean obviously our clocks tick different than men’s. So, uh, I think that reality sets in, and I dunno if, it’s just a biological thing that happens. And uh, yeah I always kind of knew that I would want to have kids, but it never had been like ah, oh, I want kids now. And I was kind of waiting for that to happen.

“I’m not saying I want to do it right this second, but I’ve at least reached the point that I’m like, OK, I think I’m like ready for that next step.”

On juggling her career with a baby: “I don’t know how people do it, how women do it. Especially with the job I have, I’m on the road all the time, I have a pretty demanding schedule. But I think you just do it. I think that’s sort of like where that woman superpower thing comes in and you just like, get it done. You just make it happen. Even if like your schedule changes or maybe you have to start saying no to a few different opportunities or whatever then that is what it is, but I’d hate to, um, feel like I just wanted to say yes to work opportunities and miss out on actual life stuff.”

On her favorite wrestlers to watch right now: I mean, shit, guys, we’ve got Ricochet. Having Ricochet, uh, out doing his thing, he is fascinating to watch. He’s on like a whole other level of athleticism that’s like cool as hell to get your eyes on. Um, I think Aleister Black has a really cool character. Um, ya I like watching, all these new guys coming up. I mean, the DIY guys, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, um, yeah just that new crop that we just brought in. I love watching all those dudes and uh, watching them get these prominent roles. And watching them just start kicking some ass. I love the Revival guys, Scott Dawson, Dash Wilder. They’re a blast to watch. Their love of old school tag team wrestling is bad ass. I love everything that Daniel Bryan is doing right now, too. And guys, common, Kofi Kingston? Gotta give some love to Kofi Kingston.”
