Reports of a Mass WWE Talent Exodus Are ‘Way Overblown’

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, stories going around regarding a mass exodus from the company are said to be completely overblown. Meltzer notes that there are guys who will explore options when their contracts are up, but only a few of them. He also says that unless you are young and single and not supporting a family (or somebody like Daniel Bryan who just loves wrestling and is determined to do so and WWE won’t let him), that a lot of people will not take the chance to try and, make it on the indies.

He also adds that there will be a guy here and there, in the position of not being used well, that will explore options outside of WWE, especially since Drew Galloway and Cody Rhodes had big success outside of WWE, but that, “the speculation and rumors going around about a mass exodus are way overblown.”
