Ric Flair Set to Appear During Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren Event

Ric Flair is set to make an appearance during the Thriller Fight Club: Jake Paul vs Ben Askren event, according to a new report. PWInsider has confirmed that Flair will appear on the PPV event in a segment promoting the slapping tournament Slapstrike, with a press release noting that Flair will call the Slapstrike exhibition match between US Champion Da Crazy Hawaiian and The Bear Man.

The site notes that Flair was in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium where the Saturday PPV will emanate from.

The show will be headlined by Paul, the brother of WrestleMania 37 celebrity Logan Paul, facing Bellator and UFC veteran Askren in a pro boxing match. It will also feature other celebrity boxing matches and musical performances from Justin Bieber, The Black Keys, Doja Cat, Major Lazer, and more.

Triller Fight Club announced today it will add a slap fighting exhibition match with SlapStrike, the league that has brought the new sport to the U.S. Triller Fight Club Co-owner and Head Commentator, Snoop Dogg got hooked on the sport after watching SlapStrike’s “The War from Warsaw” tournament on FITE in March. On the April 17th Triller Fight Club event, fans can watch U.S. Slap Fighting champion “Da Crazy Hawaiian” face off against “The Bear Man”. WWE legend Ric Flair will ref, and SNL’s Pete Davidson

“When Snoop asked FITE execs to have me get the guys to Atlanta, I couldn’t say no,” said Glenn Pere, Founder and CEO of SlapStrike LLC. “I can guarantee you this; that the show that Da Crazy Hawaiian and The Bear Man will put on will be memorable and noteworthy proving that this is the sport for the new generations…it’s quick, decisive and almost always ends in a KO.”

Da Crazy Hawaiian is quickly becoming the face of SlapStrike and the sport itself in the U.S.

Both he and The Bear Man are 6’3” with DCH at 375lbs and Bear at 350lbs. Each match consists of 5 rounds in which fighters take turns slapping each other with the potential for extra rounds. No flinching allowed.

SlapStrike’s next event will be on FITE.TV on June 19th from Cheyenne, Wyoming where SlapFighting has recently been sanctioned. As of now the event is being billed as “The World Slap Fight Team Championship: USA vs. Russia.” Pere adds, “This will be the biggest international sporting event since Rocky met Drago in Moscow in 1985.”
