Road Dogg Thinks Triple H & Stephanie McMahon Deserve Credit For WWE Evolution

On a recent episode of his Oh… You Didn’t Know? podcast, Brian “Road Dogg” James offered his thoughts on the background to WWE Evolution, the company’s first and (to date) only all-female PLE (via Wrestling Inc). According to James, he feels the show’s creation was likely due to the efforts of Paul Levesque and Stephanie McMahon, who he credited with the most emphasis on equity and representation on an executive level at WWE. You can find a highlight from James and watch the complete podcast episode below.
On the inception of Evolution: “I think it was Hunter [Paul “Triple H” Levesque] and Stephanie [McMahon], but I always give them credit for stuff like that because they’ve always been hypersensitive to equality and equal representation and stuff like that. I mean, look, under his ‘NXT’ stint down there, he’s done a lot of things for women’s wrestling. So I always give them the credit in my mind. I don’t actually know who said, ‘Hey, what if we did this?'”
