ROH News: Attendance for Field of Honor, Steve Corino Dresses Up as Honor Cow Mascot, Update on BJ Whitmer’s Return, and More
– Last night’s ROH Field of Honor event drew about 2,200 people at the MCU Field in Brooklyn, New York. The card was held on the same night as NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn at the Barclays Center.
– Shinsuke Nakamura and KUSHIDA reportedly brought their families from Japan for the ROH shows this weekend.
– At last night’s ROH event there was reportedly an “Honor Cow” mascot walking around and taking pictures with fans. The Honor Cow later had a race with Cheeseburger and tripped him in order to win. Cheeseburger later tackled Honor Cow and ripped off his mask, who was actually Steve Corino. Corino then wore the costume all night while doing commentary for the show’s DVD release.
– There were huge lines for autographs for the NJPW talents at this weekend’s ROH events, with the top star being Nakamura.
– Michael Elgin will reportedly be going back to NJPW based on his excellent work in the G1 Climax.
– The Matt Sydal/KUSHIDA angle in Philadelphia will reportedly be followed up on in NJPW before ROH.
– BJ Whitmer is reportedly on the mend after his ACL surgery. He is expected to make an in-ring return by the end of the year.
– Taeler Hendrix was also in attendance for last night’s ROH event in Brooklyn.
