– At tonight’s NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III event, Drew McIntyre defeated Bobby Roode in the main event to win the NXT world title. WWE and NXT posted some photos and clips of the match and title change on Twitter, which you can check out below.
The title win marks Drew McIntyre’s first title run in WWE since 2010, which he won with Cody Rhodes at Night of Champions in September of that year. He also held the Intercontinental title in 2009. This ends the reign for Roode after holding the belt for over six months. He won the belt from Shinsuke Nakamura earlier this year at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio in January.
