Rumor on Plans Discussed for Asuka at WrestleMania 35

– As previously reported, it appeared that WWE was not ready to do anything with Asuka at WrestleMania 35. It appears the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio (via WrestlingInc.com) and Dave Meltzer have shed some light on the matter.

Based on Meltzer’s comments on the show, WWE had previously planned to make Asuka vs. Lacey Evans at WrestleMania 35. He went so far as to say that match was “on the books” at one point in time, but apparently the match is now being reconsidered. The report indicates there’s still a possibility the match could happen, but it’s no longer a lock or “set in stone” as the saying goes.

Evans made brief appearances at Elimination Chamber 2019 and Monday Night Raw this week. It’s also being reported that she’s in line for a big push by WWE.
