More Rumors of Paul Heyman Starting a New WWE Stable
– Speaking on the Barn Burner Fired Up podcast (via RingsideNews), Joe Peisich claimed there’s still still talk backstage in WWE about giving Paul Heyman a new type of stable. Peisich stated the following:
“Paul Heyman/Kevin Owens. There is still some talk going around when Paul Heyman does return he’ll have a stable. Maybe Ronda Rousey, maybe Kevin Owens, maybe some other guys. But there’s still some talk within the WWE of having Paul Heyman run a stable.”
Previously, there were rumors last month of keeping Heyman in WWE as an on-air performer while Brock Lesnar is out and training for a UFC return against Daniel Cormier. That included possibly pairing him up with Ronda Rousey, who is a huge Paul Heyman fan.
However, Heyman also told Sports Illustrated last month that he’s “not in the WWE business. He stated the following:
“I think there are a lot of people who would argue that I have not been in the WWE business, the pro wrestling business, the sports entertainment business, et al for quite some time, and that I’ve arrived at a place in my career where I am in the Brock Lesnar business. Please feel free to develop your own conspiracy theories based on that.”
