Sammy Guevara Wins Interim TNT Championship At AEW Battle of the Belts, First Defense Set For Dynamite (Pics, Video)
After medical protocol forced Cody Rhodes to step back from AEW Battle of the Belts, Dustin Rhodes stepped in to face Sammy Guevara instead. The two fought to crown an interim TNT Champion, and Sammy Guevara won after a pinfall reversal sequence ended in his favor. He was awarded the belt by David Crockett when the match was over. After that, he was confronted by Daniel Garcia and the two had a brawl. Backstage, Guevara challenged Garcia to a match for the interim title on this Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
