WWE News: Samoa Joe on WWE Realizing He’s A Main Eventer, Photo of Major Star At Summerslam Site, Start Time For NXT Takeover Kickoff Show Changed

– Josh Barnett of USA Today has a story about independent stars like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Shinsuke Nakamura and others finding more fame as a result of their WWE runs.

Samoa Joe said the following of his match with Brock Lesnar last month: “It was a watershed moment for me in terms of legitimization. Winning the Universal title wasn’t in the cards, but people realized what they had on their hands. WWE realized that I belong in the main event picture and that’s where I am at SummerSlam.”

– The NXT Takeover pre-game show begins at 7 PM ET tonight instead of the original time of 7:30 PM.
