Scott Dawson on The Revival Wanting to Prove That Tag Team Wrestling Isn’t Filler

– The Mirror recently interviewed WWE Superstar and Raw tag team champion Scott Dawson. Below are some highlights.

Scott Dawson on his pick for a team getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame: “Oh, man, that’s an easy one. For me, that would be the Midnight Express. They drew so much.. I think people forget that sometimes because, [looking back at] the territory days, so much gets lost. They drew so much money as a team, with guys like the Rock N’ Roll Express, Magnum TA and Mr Wrestling 2, and Junkyard Dog and Bill Watts. Not only did they have great matches, and not only did Jim Cornette provide so many of the great interviews of all time, but they drew so much money.”

Scott Dawson on Midnight Express being the blueprint for tag team wrestling: “They are the blueprint and layout of tag team wrestling and what tag team wrestling can be as far as drawing money and being a huge act that can get over. That’s what Dash and I are trying to do… to prove that tag team wrestling isn’t just a filler on the card. Tag team wrestling is something special… it should be, and can be in the main event program.”
