Scout Comics Releases Tribute Editions for Shad Gaspard Comic Assassin and Son

– Scout Comics has announced the release of special tribute cover variant editions of comic book, Assassin and Son, that was written by late former pro wrestler Shad Gaspard. Gaspard co-wrote the comic along with former WWE Superstar Marc Copani, aka Muhammad Hassan.

There will be 1,000 copies of each variant edition available. All profits from the sales of the tribute cover variants will be donated to the Gaspard family. Fans can purchase the tribute cover variants at the above link. You can view the full announcement below:

Assassin and Son #1 – Tribute Variant Covers are NOW AVAILABLE!

Scout Comics acquired the rights to former WWE stars Marc Copani and Shad Gaspard’s debut comic book a year or so ago. Tragically, Shad died in May of this year while saving his son from drowning. We here at Scout are proud to present two special tribute covers of Marc & Shad’s comic, with all profits going to the Gaspard family.

There’s only 1,000 copies of each variant edition and it can be purchased by clicking the links below for $20.00 each. There’s also a digital copy available for $5.00.

The Assassin and Son comic book series is set to debut this November in comic stores worldwide.

The Story…

Set in the dark and gritty streets of New York’s five boroughs, Assassin & Son: Path of Vengeance tells the tale of Donovan Braddock, a one-man killing machine who worked with a team of assassins known as The Horsemen. When Braddock tries to leave his old life behind, his wife is murdered in front of him and his young son. With nothing to live for, but everything to fight for, Braddock and his son seek revenge on the men who took everything, sending them both on an epic journey of revenge and consequence that becomes the Path of Vengeance.

Featuring the comic writing debuts of former WWE wrestlers, the late Shad Gaspard (member of Cryme Tyme) and Marc Copani (Muhammad Hassan)! Assassin and Son is a gritty urban-western set in present-day New York. Donovan Braddock is a one-man killing unit who works with a team of covert assassins known as “The Horsemen,” When Braddock attempts to live a normal life and leave his old violent life behind he discovers that violence still follows him as his wife is cold-heartedly murdered in front of both him and his young son. In my last conversation with Shad Gaspard, we celebrated that the comic book we wrote together was set to be released in April 2020. Covid delayed the release, and then in May, we tragically lost Shad when he gave his life to save his son from drowning. On Wednesday, July 8th, Scout Comics Official HQ is releasing this limited edition copy of Assassin and Son book ONE on its website to honor my friend. I’m so thankful to Scout and proud to be a part of this team, keeping his legacy alive. There are only 1,000 copies of each variant edition and all proceeds go to Shad’s family.
