Shawn Michaels Thinks John Cena Needs to Call the Shots for His Final Matchups

– Speaking to Good Karma Wrestling, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels was asked which wrestlers he’d like to see John Cena face in his current farewell run in WWE. Michael stated that it’s ultimately up to Cena, and he should be the one to call the shots of his final matchups. Below are some highlights (via Fightful):
“Well look, I have to say, that’s John’s call. I think John has earned the right and opportunity to sort of — I guess I’m biased — When you’re gonna make your last run, I think you’re the guy that kind of needs to call those shots. I’m excited and very happy for John, that he’s getting the opportunity to do all this. It’s just been something that’s been fun to watch. I’m like everybody else now, I’m just a fan sitting there and watching this and enjoying John enjoying what he’s doing.”
John Cena is coming off a title defense against Randy Orton earlier this month at WWE Backlash. Cena will be back in action this weekend at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, where he will face R-Truth in a singles, non-title bout. It’s scheduled for Saturday, May 24 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. It will air live on Peacock in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
