SmackDown Post-Clash of Champions Show Sees Drop in Ratings & Viewership Against NBA Finals
– Showbuzz Daily has the overnight ratings from last night’s episode of SmackDown. Last night’s show managed to still stay over two million viewers in the overnight numbers with an average audience of 2.043 million viewers. That’s based off of 2.105 million viewers for Hour 1 and 1.980 million viewers for Hour 2.
That’s a decrease of 3.2 percent from the final audience from last week’s episode, which was 2.11 million viewers. The final numbers will be out later next week.
In the key P18-49 demographic ratings, SmackDown averaged a 0.55 rating. That’s also down from the final average rating of 0.6 in the same key demo for last week. In SmackDown’s defense, the show had tough competition with the NBA finals between the Lakers and the Heat on ABC.
SmackDown ranked No. 4 for the night in the key demos. The NBA Finals topped the ratings in the key demo for the evening with an average 1.6 rating. Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC came in second with a 1.1 rating, and NBA Countdown was third with a 0.9.
The NBA Finals game also topped the viewership for the evening with 4.460 million viewers.
