WrestleMania Edition of SmackDown Sees Drop in Numbers, Show Finishes 2nd in Ratings

Showbuzz Daily has the overnight ratings for last night’s WrestleMania Edition of SmackDown on FOX. Last night’s episode had an average overnight audience of 2.080 million viewers. That’s based off of 2.060 million viewers for Hour 1 and 2.099 million viewers for Hour 2.

The audience dropped from the final viewership of 2.137 million viewers for last week’s show. Last night’s FOX Network broadcast was promoted as a special WrestleMania Edition of SmackDown, featuring the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and a Fatal 4-Way match for the SmackDown tag team titles. For comparison, the overnight audience for last week was 2.036 million viewers.

In the P18-49 key demo ratings, SmackDown averaged a 0.55 rating for two hours. That’s slightly down from the final rating of 0.57 in the key demo for last week. SmackDown’s number was enough for it to finish second in the ratings for primetime network viewing for Friday. Last week’s episode drew a 0.5 rating in the demo in the fast national numbers.

ABC’s Shark Tank topped the ratings for the evening with a 0.7. Meanwhile, Blue Bloods on CBS topped the viewership for the networks with 6.161 million viewers.
