Spoiler on Return at Impact Wrestling Taping
– Big Poppa Pump returned to the Impact Zone this weekend. Impact Wrestling confirmed that Scott Steiner made his return to the company at today’s taping in Orlando, as you can see below. A fan on Twitter said that Steiner returned and will be Josh Matthews’ partner at Slammiversary.
Steiner’s relationship with the previous ownership team of Impact/TNA was acrimonious, to say the least. The company filed a lawsuit against Steiner in June of 2012 after he had gone on several extended Twitter rants alleging Steiner breached a contract he signed in 2010 that said he was “forbidden from making public statements, including tweeting, concerning TNA or any of its officers, wrestlers, or other individuals without prior approval.” Steiner then countersued alleging that TNA has breached its contract by failing to provide a contractually-obliged accounting of royalty payments, failing to provide statements of all merchandise and video royalties and failed to pay all royalties due. He denied that he ever signed an agreement not to speak against the company.
Steiner dropped his lawsuit at one point and in February of 2016, TNA’s lawsuit against Steiner was dismissed.
