Stephanie McMahon Reportedly Not Expected Back In WWE Any Time Soon
It was noted last week that Stephanie McMahon announced a leave of absence as the Chief Brand Officer of WWE. Nick Khan is temporarily taking over several of her duties and it was noted during a staff meeting that there will be hires made to handle her job soon.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the decision was ‘several months’ in the making and this likely isn’t a short-term hiatus. The company is looking for a replacement as Chief Brand Officer or at least someone to take over the responsibilities of the job.
There are said to be people quietly saying negative things about McMahon’s time there, who were “not high on her”. One person noted that there were people frustrated with her because they would ask her something and she’d run it by Vince McMahon, because all things in WWE go through Vince McMahon first. Another person wondered how many people will replace her, either one or more than that.
While the story about her leaving to focus on her family is true, it’s not the only reason. Other reasons have been kept quiet. One person said they can say “for sure” that she won’t be back soon and may not ever come back as Chief Brand Officer.
