WWE SummerSlam 2019

It was reported several weeks ago that Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff were hired to be the Executive Directors of RAW and Smackdown, respectively. This means that they will oversee all creative aspects but report directly to Vince McMahon. Heyman’s influence over RAW has reportedly already started to show in recent weeks, while Bischoff is reportedly expected to start after Extreme Rules. According to Wrestle Votes, this means that whatever plans WWE had set for Summerslam are likely to change as both men settle into their new roles and shake things up creatively.

The report reads: “Was told recently that anything WWE had planned for SummerSlam in advance was all subject to change once Bischoff & Heyman fully start their roles this upcoming week. Good on Vince & Co to allow a legitimate clean start. No forced agendas off the jump. That’s how it should be.
