Dave Meltzer reported on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that the Revival wanted to request their release from WWE prior to their match on RAW this past Monday, but didn’t because both Vince McMahon and Triple H were busy all day preparing for the RAW Braun Strowman segment. The two then waited until after their match to discuss the topic.

Meltzer also noted that The Revival’s contracts expire in April of 2020, and they have not been granted their release yet, thus they worked the WWE live event in San Antonio on Friday. Their match was praised by fans and Sasha Banks who tweeted some things that caused speculation about her WWE future.

Meltzer continued that Dash Wilder’s decision to trademark #FTR on January 1st was no accident. The trademark claims that #FTR refers to “Forever The Revival” but the hashtag has been used in the past by the Young Bucks when they were in a Twitter feud with the Revival in 2017 and they meant it to mean “Fix The Revival” and “F*ck The Revival” at different times.
