The Rock Acknowledges Roman Reigns, Issues Tag Team Challenge For WrestleMania 40 On WWE Smackdown

The Rock has laid out a major challenge for WrestleMania, challenging Cody Rhodes to a tag team match on this week’s WWE Smackdown. Friday night’s show kicked off with The Bloodline coming out to the ring. The Rock followed soon after and said that he was turning down Rhodes’ challenge of a match at any time, but instead had a challenge of his own. He proceeded to issue a challenge for Rhodes and Seth Rollins to face himself and Reigns at the first night of WrestleMania 40.
The incentive for Rhodes is that if he and Rollins win then The Bloodline will stay out of Rhodes’ match with Reigns on night two at WrestleMania. However, if Rock and Reigns win it will be “Bloodline Rules” which means that anything will go from the Bloodline in the match. Rock demanded Rhodes’ answer by next week’s Smackdown in Dallas and said that if Rhodes turned him down, he would do everything in his power to make sure Rhodes loses.
Rock went to go do his “If Ya Smell…” catchphrase, but Reigns stopped him and said he needed one thing from the Rock: to acknowledge him. While Rock hesitated at first, he said that he acknowledged Reigns as the Tribal Chief.
