The Young Bucks Reportedly Deny Sending Out Feelers to WWE
– As previously reported, it was rumored that The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) had sent feelers out to WWE on having an interest in joining the company when their contracts were up. Dave Meltzer reported additional details on the situation on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio.
According to Meltzer, The Young Bucks have “denied” sending out feelers to WWE. Additionally, Meltzer noted that The Bucks previously already negotiated with Triple H in 2018 before ultimately signing with AEW in 2019. So, if they wanted to get in touch with him, they wouldn’t need an intermediary to get through to him. Meltzer added that the Jacksons normally talk to people who are in WWE and said, “That’s not unusual.”
Matt and Nick Jackson are currently on suspension by AEW stemming from an alleged brawl that took place with CM Punk following AEW All Out earlier this month. Punk made disparaging comments on the Bucks during a post-show media scrum. AEW is conducting an investigation into what took place with regards to the brawl.
