Tom Phillips Would Like to See Kofi Kingston Main Event WrestleMania 35

– Most fans would probably say they want the Raw Women’s Championship match to main event WrestleMania, but Tom Phillips is hooked on Kofi Kingston. Phillips appeared on Busted Open Radio and, when asked by Bully Ray which match he wants to see top the PPV as a fan, said that he wants to see Kingston get his shot against Daniel Bryan atop the card.

“Oh, gosh,” the Smackdown announcer said. “I gotta be honest; if it’s Kofi Kingston that somehow gets a WWE Title opportunity against Daniel Bryan, I — selfishly as a SmackDown guy — would love to see that in the main event. That’s not to say that — Lesnar-Rollins absolutely can main event any PPV on any day, any year. And then this triple threat with the women is so incredible, and there’s never been a women’s main event in the history of WrestleMania. So I think they’re equally deserving. But selfishly, the Kofi story, I’m hooked.”

Phillips may get his wish; according to a report from earlier today, Vince McMahon hasn’t yet set in stone the women’s match as the main event. WrestleMania takes place on April 7th.
